Summer NAMM Returns to Music City Center July 15-16

NASHVILLE — Summer NAMM, the first in-person industry event in 18 months, returns to Nashville’s Music City Center July 15-16. The show is NAMM’s annual mid-year gathering and will feature the latest in music gear, technologies, and news from AudioScope, C.F. Martin & Co., D’Addario, Delicious Audio, Gibson Brands, Gretsch, Hear Technologies, Jerry Harvey Audio, Mojave Audio, Morton Microphone Systems, Oktava, On-Stage, Peavey, Sontronics, Taylor Guitars, TransAudio Group, Ultimate Ears, Wave Distro, Yamaha and much more. The show will also feature leading professional development sessions, instrument demos and networking opportunities.

All health and safety protocols will be observed in conjunction with the City of Nashville and the Nashville Health Department.

Hours:  Thursday, July 15 (9 am – 6 pm); Friday, July 16 (9 am – 5 pm), at the Nashville Music City Center, 201 5th Ave. S.; Nashville.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 14

ONLINE MARKETING SUMMIT – A 9 am-12 Noon Summit presented by Larry Bailin presents an in-depth view of what’s changed in online marketing and how every music business can shift to meet the post-pandemic consumer. This event takes place in Music City Center, Level 2, 202 ABC. Pre-registration required.

SWIM RECEPTION – Join SWIM (Smart Women In Music) for a reception kicking off the start of Summer NAMM 2021. 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm. Music City Center, Level 2 Room 202 ABC.

THURSDAY, JULY 15

2021 STATE OF THE INDUSTRY ADDRESS – Hosted by NAMM President and CEO Joe Lamond, this special session will look forward by looking back at a year we’ll never forget with a series of one-on-one interviews with a group of industry thought leaders who will explore the state of business, the future and lessons learned from a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic and new innovations to emerge in a post-pandemic world.

TEC TRACKS – How Recording Studios Can Thrive Through Disruption; Live Sound Post-COVID: Interview with Blackbird’s John McBride; The Future of Livestreaming and other TEC Tracks are available on this day.

37TH ANNUAL AMERICAN EAGLE AWARDS – The National Music Council will honor iconic a cappella group Take 6 and pay tribute to music educators across America for their extraordinary service during the pandemic at the 37th Annual American Eagle Awards. Awards begin at 4PM.

NAMM’S TOP 100 DEALER AWARDS – This event spotlights the industry’s very best music product retailers and shares their strategies for success. An independent panel of judges picks winners in seven “Best of” categories, from which the prestigious “Dealer of the Year” is selected. Time is 6PM.

FRIDAY, JULY 16

TEC TRACKS – Technologies That Will Revolutionize the Music Industry; Commercial Recording Studios Get Ready in a Post-COVID World, and other TEC Tracks are available on this day.

NAMM YOUNG PROFESSIONALS KEYNOTE WITH ANDY ZILDJIAN – Andy Zildjian, president of Sabian, discusses leadership, career development and the role of mentorship in the music industry. He’ll also look at how Sabian navigated the pandemic and lessons learned along the way. 4:00 P.M.
